• Storage -  The most convenient option may be to store your boards on your countertop. However, store them vertically to take up less space, to prevent water from pooling on any surfaces, and so that air can flow evenly. This helps keep moisture from being trapped underneath and allows the board to dry properly.

• Wash - After each use, wash the board with warm water and dish soap, then dry thoroughly with a towel. 

• Oil - Once a month (or as needed), apply a generous coat of food-safe mineral oil or our food safe board butter to both sides and edges of the board using a clean rag. After applying the oil, let the board dry for 10-20 minutes, then wipe off any excess. The oils repel water and helps maintain the board's longevity.

• Avoid damage - Don't put the board in the dishwasher, soak it in water, or stick knives in it. The heat and water from the dishwasher can warp or splinter the wood and soaking the board can cause it to crack, twist, or bow.
